Submission Guidelines
for the Bubblegum Popcorn Newsletter

God Likes Bubblegum Popcorn is monthly newsletter which serves to inform, entertain, and encourage God's children.

We are interested in:
• Humorous stories that teach a biblical truth, which you or someone you know experienced (Do not write it overly preachy by quoting several Bible verses to make your point)
• Non-fiction Christian history, archaeological findings, or Biblical society-related facts and findings (traditions, festivals, culture, or anything related that brings light to the Bible)
• Christian-themed fictional short stories
• Daily Devotions
• Commentaries or reviews on various entertainment, artwork, or news items

Payment guideline: If you send an article with a list of 4-5 sources, is well-written (up to 1500 words), packed with useful, interesting information, and is easy to follow, we'd be happy to pay $50 for such an article. All rates will be negotiated upon submission of your article.

We still accept opinion-type or devotion articles, especially if it raises a little controversy. However, we understand that it takes time and energy to produce a solid non-fiction article, and have decided to structure our remuneration accordingly.

Article length should be no more than 1500 words. Daily Devotions should be between 200-300 words.

We accept non-solicited and previously published submissions. The deadline for submissions is the 20th day of each month. Please ensure proper grammar, spelling, and sentence structure.

Submit your completed manuscript to christian-ebooks-guy[at]bible-stories-library[dot]com (The [at] and [dot] are to fool those darned spammer bots!).

Preferred Style:
Read past Bubblegum Popcorn newsletters
Writing that appeals to a broad audience
Use active, not passive, voice. "Samson smote the lion" describes the event more concisely, than "The lion was smote by Samson". Use less words to convey your message
Please ensure 100% accurate facts!!!!

Engagement:
Ask yourself: Is your article fun to read? Is your first paragraph a good "hook"? Is your writing lively and clear?
How relevant, new and compelling is the info? How is it presented?
Use bullets, steps, tips, numbers, subheads, lists, questions, and balanced examples whenever possible to break continuous blocks of text

Promotion:
Avoid self-promotion and promotion of Bible Stories Library's competitors
